<\/p>\nHigh Point University\u2019s Kenneth F. Kahn School of Law is rapidly moving towards the fall semester, when we will enroll the second class of students and expand course offerings to meet first and second year student needs. At High Point Law, Legal Research and Writing is taught in small sections, usually around ten students, and this model will continue even as the student body grows. To meet that need, the law school has recently hired Professor Shelly DeAdder to join the LRW team.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Professor DeAdder has thirteen years of experience teaching legal writing. She was an adjunct professor in the legal writing program at NCCU School of Law for two years before accepting a full-time position in 2014. She has taught 1L legal writing courses as well as upper-level legal writing courses, such as Appellate Advocacy and Judicial Opinion Writing.<\/p>\n
As a member of the North Carolina Appellate Defender Roster, Professor DeAdder uses her legal writing skills to serve indigent clients. She represents defendants appealing their convictions to the appellate courts of North Carolina.<\/p>\n
