On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the Kenneth F. Kahn School of Law hosted a three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Over 100 law students attended the oral argument session, as well as faculty and staff members. The court heard oral arguments in three cases and held a question and answer session for students.<\/p>\n

\"IMG<\/p>\n

This was the Fourth Circuit\u2019s inaugural appearance at High Point University\u2019s School of Law, and the court session provided an extraordinary learning experience for students. This firsthand opportunity to observe appellate procedure and advocacy is just one example of how the law school strives to educate students both in and out of the classroom.<\/p>\n

Frank Thomas, Class of 2028, had this to say about the visit,<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat an extraordinary educational experience watching the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals hold oral argument hearings at High Point Law. It moved federal advocacy from theory to reality, allowing us to witness firsthand the discipline, judgment and precision that effective advocacy demands. My understanding of the law and appellate procedure was deepened, and the full experience strengthened my commitment to pursue excellence as a future advocate. It was truly an honor to be in the presence of the Court.\u201d<\/p>\n
