Use of these resources is governed by copyright law and individual license terms of use.<\/p>\n<p>Some general principles apply for permitted and prohibited uses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Normally Permitted:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Viewing, downloading, copying, printing, and saving individual articles or search results.<br \/>\n\u2022 Using e-resources for research and teaching.<br \/>\n\u2022 Sending a copy of an article to another current HPU user.<br \/>\n\u2022 Sharing the URL, or posting it.<br \/>\n\u2022 Citing small portions of content in your published research.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Normally Prohibited:<\/strong>\u00a0 (NOTE: Engagement in any of the activities below may result in suspension of your access, and possibly in suspension of access for all HPU users.)<br \/>\n\u2022 Systematically downloading or distributing large volumes of material.<br \/>\n\u2022 Using HPU Libraries electronic resources for personal commercial gain.<br \/>\n\u2022 Sharing content with non-HPU users.<br \/>\n\u2022 Publicly posting the text of books, journal articles or digital photos, drawings, or other content from HPU Libraries electronic resources.<\/p>\n<p>You are expected to comply with the terms of use for the electronic resources you use.<br \/>\nTerms of use can usually be found on publishers\u2019 websites or via links from their pages.<br \/>\nIf in doubt, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.highpoint.edu\/library\/contact-us\/\">Ask a Librarian<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The HPU Libraries provide access to thousands of electronic journals, books, and databases for the non-profit educational use of High Point University.
