This service is available to HPU students, faculty, and staff. Items include books, audio and visual items, articles, microform items, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Articles can be delivered electronically to the patron\u2019s email in about 1-3 days. Books take a bit longer, between 1 and 3 weeks. Please keep in mind when requesting materials that these are the average turnaround times. Instructional or specialty video and audio materials, dissertations, music scores, and most other types of items can be requested. Items can be picked up in Smith Library.<\/p>\n<p>You can make ILL requests and check their status by logging into <a href=\"http:\/\/2123.account.worldcat.org\/profile\/route\/openurl?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">your HPUShare account.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Before creating an ILL request<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before creating an ILL request, try searching for materials in one of the following access points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hpulibraries.on.worldcat.org\/\">HPU Library catalog<\/a>: The premiere portal to HPU library collections .<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/journalfinder.wtcox.com\/hpu\/\">Journal Finder<\/a>: An access point to our academic journal collection.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/libproxy.highpoint.edu\/login?url=https:\/\/scholar.google.com\">Google Scholar (HPU-specific link)<\/a>: A version of Google Scholar that includes a direct connection to HPU held items as well. You can ONLY access this version of Google Scholar through the HPU library homepage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All of these access points can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.highpoint.edu\/library\/\">HPU Libraries homepage<\/a>. Searching in these places first will save you the wait if we have access to the materials you need.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Renewing ILLs<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How can an ILL item be renewed?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Log into <a href=\"http:\/\/2123.account.worldcat.org\/profile\/route\/openurl?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">your HPUShare account<\/a>, find the item you want to renew and click on the renew button located to the right of the selected item.<\/p>\n<p>When can a renewal be requested?<\/p>\n<p>Renewal requests can only be submitted one week or less before the due date. This gives the lending library enough time to process the request and complete the renewal. If the due date has passed and you still want to renew, contact <a href=\"mailto:ill@highpoint.edu\">ill@highpoint.edu<\/a>. A renewal request will be sent to the lending library from the ILL office.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What if the request is denied?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If a renewal is denied, another ILL request for the same item can be submitted through HPUShare.
