You may have noticed the HPU website received a substantial upgrade over the summer. The HPU Libraries website also received a new look and this blog is here to introduce you to the newest version of the website. The library homepage can be accessed at www.highpoint.edu\/library<\/a>.<\/p>\n

From the Homepage<\/h3>\n

From the beginning, you will see a brand-new library homepage. While the new homepage is significantly different from the old homepage, you will still notice that the library catalog is the first thing you see when you land on the homepage. You will also see that some of our most important search links, such as \u201cJournal Finder<\/a>,\u201d \u201cCourse Reserves<\/a>,\u201d and \u201cDatabases A-Z<\/a>\u201d have been placed directly under the catalog search bar to make for easy access to these resources. Click on the icon to the left of the \u201cWelcome to HPU Libraries\u201d for a full list of library links.<\/p>\n

As you continue to scroll down the page, you will find other valuable information, such as how to access your library account<\/a>, how to view our research and citation guides<\/a>, see some of the most popular databases<\/a> to use for your research, and information on how you can ask a librarian for assistance. You can also check out some of the other blogs<\/a> that library creates to find additional research resources or entertaining information.<\/p>\n

HPU Libraries offers much more information than what you can find when you land on the homepage. The library links found when you click on the icon next to \u201cWelcome to HPU Libraries\u201d will help you navigate the library homepage and use it to your full advantage. Once you click this icon, you will find links to anything and everything you need to know about the library. Helpful links to be mindful of include \u201cAccount<\/a>,\u201d \u201cAsk a Librarian<\/a>,\u201d \u201cCitation Guides<\/a>,\u201d \u201cDatabases A-Z<\/a>,\u201d \u201cInterlibrary Loan<\/a>,\u201d \u201cJournal Finder<\/a>,\u201d \u201cMedia & Printing<\/a>,\u201d and \u201cResearch Guides<\/a>.\u201d These are great links to keep in your back pocket because they will help you set yourself up for success.<\/p>\n
