How OARS Ensures Equal Access<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. OARS determines if the student qualifies under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as a person who:\n
      \n
    1. has a\u00a0physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities,<\/b><\/li>\n
    2. has a history or record of such an impairment<\/b>,<\/b>\u00a0or<\/li>\n
    3. is perceived by others <\/b>as having such an impairment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    4. Based on the student\u2019s self-report and supporting documentation, OARS determines if there is an\u00a0institutional<\/u>\u00a0barrier to the student\u2019s equal access.<\/li>\n
    5. If such a barrier is identified, the Accessibility Specialist will approve reasonable accommodations to remove the barrier.<\/li>\n
    6. If a functional limitation and correlated barrier are\u00a0not<\/u>\u00a0identified, the accommodation cannot be approved.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
