Preparing Students\u00a0For the World as It\u2019s Going to Be\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n

Dear Parents:
\nFrom the freshman and senior Life Skills Seminars, to the 4-year Action Plan developed by the Office of Career and Professional Development, to experiential learning opportunities implemented by stellar faculty, HPU is focused on preparing students as President Qubein puts it, \u201cto be job creators, not job takers.\u201d That doesn’t\u00a0mean that students need to start their own business necessarily, but rather, they should remain focused on creating value at any organization they may serve.<\/p>\n

To keep students in an \u201centrepreneurial zone,\u201d HPU even leverages social media to highlight the opportunities they have to craft their own personal brand.<\/p>\n

Take Career Tip Tuesday Infographics<\/span><\/a> as one small example:<\/p>\n

\"edification-copy1-e1433529135183\"Through the year,\u00a0the Office of\u00a0Career and\u00a0Professional Development\u00a0provides relevant infographics to underscore the importance of building career connections. The impact, of course, is not in single messages, but in the consistent delivery of the content designed to educate, enlighten, and inspire.<\/p>\n

Whether in person at a career counseling session, in the classroom where faculty invite Career Counselors to engage with students,\u00a0or even on Twitter and other social media platforms where students spend much of their time, HPU is connecting academics with career-based outcomes.<\/p>\n

The message is simple and constant: \u00a0here are the tools, the support, and the advocacy of faculty and staff to help you succeed.<\/p>\n
