Dear HPU Parents,<\/p>\n

Knowledge gained in the classroom at High Point University is complemented with meaningful experiences that take place beyond the classroom walls and enrich the souls of our students. Our campus provides daily experiences for students traveling their lifelong journey of education and embracing what is possible. The values of civility, inclusion, resilience and service to others surround your student at HPU. Additionally, your student\u2019s intellectual, social and emotional intelligence are paramount in preparing them for a life of significance, and we are committed to the overall transformation for your student.<\/p>\n

Students contribute measurable service to their local and global communities. The year started off with members of the Class of 2023\u2019s Common Experience service project<\/a>, where incoming students brought over 1,000 books to be donated to local elementary and middle schools, and the Connection, Creation, and Community event<\/a>, where first-year students built 150 bikes for Boys and Girls Clubs across the city of High Point. Students have also been busy with a number of locally-based service projects<\/a> and internationally with a service trip to Guatemala<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last week, HPU hosted the annual Veteran’s Day Celebration (LINK when live), where students volunteer to honor the heroes of our nation for their service. For Halloween, HPU’s Student Council for Exceptional Children held the Special Populations Halloween Dance.<\/a><\/p>\n

I continue to be amazed with the thoughtful acts of generosity that our students display \u2013 how they live, how they serve, how they know that anything is possible. As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, these stories remind us all of the values that we cherish and embrace. I am eternally grateful to be part of your student’s journey.<\/p>\n
