Dear families,<\/p>\n

We are so happy to welcome students to campus! High Point University has a treasured history of educating the whole student\u2014mind, body and soul. This comes out of our spiritual legacy of being a school founded by people of sincere faith. Know the whole university, and particularly\u00a0Hayworth Chapel and the Religious Life Office<\/a>,\u00a0is here to support your religious observance and spiritual journey. Our goal is that every student experience what it means to be\u00a0beloved<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0belonging<\/em><\/strong>, by\u00a0becoming<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0who he or she is called to be, and that everyone\u00a0beholds<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0an educational journey that is about wonder and awe.\u00a0See some highlighted ways for students to get involved below:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Christian Spiritual Formation.\u00a0<\/strong>For our incoming students who are eager to deepen their Christian faith, please consider joining us at weekly Chapel,\u00a0every Wednesday at 5:30 pm, starting August 23<\/u>th<\/sup><\/u>.<\/u>\u00a0 This inspiring, Christian worship service brings together song, relevant teaching, and community unique to the 20-something experience.<\/p>\n

Weekly Chapel is not just an experience; it is a community. Weekly Chapel is your entryway to learn more about\u00a0earning academic credit for coming to Chapel<\/a>,\u00a0our campus ministries<\/a>,\u00a0join a breakout group,\u00a0pilgrimage and mission opportunities<\/a>, as well as\u00a0student leadership opportunities such the Board of Stewards,<\/a>\u00a0choirs and modern worship leadership.<\/p>\n

In addition to Wednesday, we will also continue\u00a0HPU Sunday<\/a>, our Sunday worshipping, which begins on\u00a0August 2<\/u>7<\/u>th<\/sup><\/u>\u00a0at 8 pm.\u00a0<\/u>Every Sunday night is a worship night in Hayworth Chapel.<\/p>\n

HPU\u2019s Catholic Campus Ministry<\/strong>\u00a0hosts Catholic Mass on Sundays at 6 p.m. The organization also offers weekly activities and semester retreats.<\/p>\n

\"\"Jewish Community and Faith.\u00a0<\/strong>For our Jewish families, please get to know\u00a0Ms. Amy Epstein<\/a>, our Jewish Life Coordinator. She can help you connect with\u00a0Hillel and the Jewish community<\/a>\u00a0at HPU.<\/p>\n

Multifaith and Interfaith Engagement.<\/strong>\u00a0We encourage all students not only to go deep within their own tradition but to build bridges of understanding with others from different faith traditions. Interfaith Dinner Club brings together HPU students across lines of religious and cultural difference to learn from one another. Also, while Hayworth Chapel is a wonderful location for prayer and meditation, students outside the Christian tradition, particularly our Muslim students, may find Multifaith Prayer and Meditation Room helpful for religious observance. It is located on the first floor of David Hayworth Hall. It includes hand and foot washing stations and is a serene and secluded room for prayer.<\/p>\n
