I am grateful to work in the entertainment industry. But I\u2019m most grateful for my son, Christopher. He\u2019s a proud High Point University graduate. In fact, he\u2019s currently pursuing his master\u2019s degree in Communication and Business Leadership at HPU.<\/p>\n
As a single dad, I can really appreciate families wanting the absolute best for their children. When it comes to colleges, parents want their students to be happy.\u00a0You want your student to not only learn about theories, but you also want them to learn about life and develop the real, gritty skills that will help them succeed, even when it\u2019s tough. Because we all know life\u00a0will<\/em>\u00a0be tough!<\/p>\n I also wanted my son to be educated in an environment that was consistent with the values I\u2019ve invested my life instilling in him. I used to think these values were widely held \u2013 values like hard work, gratitude, service, faith, and even patriotism. I was shocked when we first started visiting schools to discover that many did not acknowledge these values and some even actively dismissed the very values Christopher and I believe in.<\/p>\n Then we discovered High Point University. It was a dream come true!
