At High Point University, the opportunities are endless for academic excellence, professional growth and personal development. I\u2019m so excited for your family and a little envious, too that my daughters&#8217; time at HPU is over.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">It was just four years ago that my twin daughters, Lauren and Sloan, were admitted to HPU. After visiting 25 schools up and down the East Coast, this God, Family and Country school was in a class all its own! HPU not only welcomed my daughters \u201chome\u201d by immediately weaving them into the campus community but also embraced us as parents, too.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">As parents we were offered and encouraged to become active participants in the HPU experience. It began with HPU Move-In Weekend \u2013 an unmatched event! We attended every Family Weekend, which is offered two times per year and packed with amazing chances to hear from HPU President Dr. Nido Qubein, tour unparalleled academic buildings, attend concerts with major artists inside the Mariana and Nido Qubein Arena, eat in all the delicious dining facilities, plus more! I have worked more than 30 years in corporate America for excellent companies, and the logistics, planning and content of HPU events are among the best I\u2019ve ever experienced.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Most importantly, our children have the chance to experience it all. My daughters embraced every opportunity at HPU, and they\u2019ve flourished as a result.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">For example, Lauren connected and had the chance to interview Domino\u2019s CEO Russell Weiner at HPU \u2013 a priceless opportunity that built her confidence and pushed her outside her comfort zone. Sloan attended an on-campus dinner with Ed Hajim, author and Wall Street executive with more than 50 years of investment experience, which directly resulted in her internship with Nantucket Golf Club. And both girls were part of an HPU externship program that took them to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.highpoint.edu\/blog\/2023\/03\/hpu-students-selected-for-externship-at-masters-tournament-on-pga-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2023 Masters Tournament<\/a>, where they networked and earned valuable experience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Both of my daughters are now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.highpoint.edu\/blog\/2023\/05\/dual-success-hpu-helps-strickler-sisters-conquer-career-goals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">launching their careers<\/a> at Georgia-Pacific, one of the world\u2019s largest manufacturers of paper and pulp products, after having crossed the graduation stage at HPU just a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The opportunities are endless and truly game changing at HPU. Enjoy the journey.
