Dear HPU Parents,<\/p>\n

Together, we have grown so much this semester. Students have enjoyed community, fun and fellowship at many events, including Picnic in the Park, the Fall Concert and the Fall Festival. With the Roberts Hall Christmas Tree Lighting approaching after Thanksgiving break, there is still so much for your student to look forward to!<\/p>\n

It has been a time of transformation and caring for one another. I want you to know that our campus is committed to crucial learning experiences inside and outside of the classroom to support the growth of your student.<\/p>\n

Service is an important part of that. HPU students contribute 500,000 hours of service to their local and global communities. This year started off with members of the Class of 2029\u00a0surprising local children with bikes<\/a>. Together, during a team-building exercise, HPU freshmen built 150 bikes.<\/p>\n

Students have also been busy with many other\u00a0locally-based service projects<\/a>, including HPU\u2019s 15th<\/sup> annual Veterans Day Celebration\u00a0<\/a>to honor the heroes of our nation for their service. We hosted more than 2,500 people, where more than 150 student, faculty and staff volunteers paid tribute to the men and women who serve this nation and\u00a0celebrated our values as a God, family and country school.<\/p>\n

And this week, our HPU Professional Selling Club purchased and donated 100 Thanksgiving meals<\/a> for families who otherwise couldn’t afford one.<\/p>\n

I continue to be amazed with the thoughtful acts of generosity that our students display \u2013 how they live, how they serve and how they know that anything is possible.<\/p>\n

And, as the holidays continue approaching, you will see more stories about students donating holiday meals and Christmas gifts to local families in our community.<\/p>\n

In this season of gratitude, I am eternally grateful to be part of your student\u2019s journey. I am thankful for the eternal relationships that we have in the HPU family and community.<\/p>\n

May we all embrace the blessings of Thanksgiving, and most of all, may we continue to learn and grow together.<\/p>\n
