High Point University was fortunate to be named Number 1 \u2013 THREE Times \u2013 by US News and World Report in their 2014 Best Colleges Report, #1 Regional School in the South, #1 Undergraduate Teaching in the South, and #1 Up and Coming School in the South.<\/p>\n

A friend half jokingly remarked to me, \u201cHPU has no where else to go.\u201d\u00a0 To which I replied:<\/p>\n

\u201cAchieving your vision doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019ve reached the end of the line. It simply means that you\u2019ve come to a new starting place.\u201d<\/p>\n

While we are proud of the recognition by US News, our goal is not to achieve high rankings.\u00a0 Our goal is to positively impact the hearts and minds of the students who choose to attend HPU.\u00a0 Our call to action, \u201cChoose to be extraordinary\u201d by design, has no definitive conclusion.\u00a0 Excellence is to be pursued, not obtained.\u00a0 As you pursue excellence, I invite you to\u00a0visit our campus<\/a>.\u00a0 HPU is an extraordinary place.\u00a0 See you soon.<\/p>\n
