Dr. Matthew Brophy – Ethics

Dr. Matthew Brophy, assistant professor of philosophy, applies moral philosophy to current events relating to communication ethics and business ethics. He has a particular interest in issues involving science and technology, as he teaches a popular freshman course, “Science, Sci-Fi, and Philosophy.” Brophy has been involved with the Piedmont Business Ethics Award, the NCICU Ethics Bowl tournament, and is currently the Secretary-Treasurer for the North Carolina Philosophical Society.

Expertise: business ethics, communication ethics, applied ethics and moral issues in technology and science.
