Dr. Donald Martin teaches in the Educational Leadership doctoral program. His courses focus on district level leadership, including strategic planning for 21st century schools, and understanding the nature of political systems, law and policy. Martin served as superintendent of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools for 19 years. In 2011 the North Carolina Association of School Administrators and North Carolina School Boards Association named him the State Superintendent of the Year.
