She is the current\u00a0president-elect for the National Physician Assistant Education Association.\u00a0Sekhon has served\u00a0as secretary of the North Carolina Association of Physical Assistants as well as the Optimal Team Practice Taskforce and the Professional Development and Review Panel for the Academy.
