Dr. Jordan Smith, assistant professor of clinical sciences<\/strong>, is aware of the growing demand for pharmacists who are capable of complex patient care in a collaborative medical environment. His practice and research focus on infectious diseases pharmacy practice, and he has done extensive work with community vaccine programs, antibiotic stewardship, and bacterial resistance. Smith can speak about graduate pharmacy coursework as well as the pivotal role pharmacists play in combatting infectious diseases. After completing his PharmD and prior to joining HPU, Smith completed a clinical pharmacy residency at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro followed by a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in infectious diseases research at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He has expertise in the pharmacotherapy of infectious diseases.<\/p>\n
