Four internal grant opportunities support work connected to the QEP’s emotional intelligence goals. Applications are open to current HPU faculty and staff. You’ll need to be logged into your HPU Microsoft account to open any of the forms below.<\/p>\n

\nApplications open: August 12, 2026, 12:00 PM for Programming and Services and SoTL, August 26, 2026, 12:00PM for Research Grants
\nApplications close: October 1, 2026, 5:00 PM
\nAward notifications: by November 15, 2026
\nRefined implementation plan due: December 11, 2026, 11:59 PM
\nFunds disbursed: Spring 2027
\nProject activities: Spring or Fall 2027<\/p>\n

Programming and Services Grant<\/strong>
\nUp to $2,500 per grant \u00b7 $10,000 annual pool
\nFor co-curricular programs and campus services \u2014 workshops, peer mentoring, EI resource toolkits \u2014 that build emotional intelligence outside the classroom.

Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Grant<\/strong>
\nUp to $5,000 per grant \u00b7 $10,000 annual pool
\nFor scholarly projects that examine and strengthen EI-related teaching practices, including classroom strategies, course redesigns, and pedagogical interventions.

Faculty-Student Research Grant<\/strong>
\nUp to $1,000 per grant \u00b7 $10,000 pool (undergraduate) \/ $3,000 pool (graduate)
\nFor faculty- or staff-mentored research pairing a faculty\/staff investigator with an undergraduate or graduate student researcher on questions related to emotional intelligence.

All grant recipients agree to present outcomes at an HPU-sponsored campus event within 12 months of project completion, submit a written summary to the QEP Office, and give a brief lightning talk update at the Spring Faculty Meeting or Faculty Retreat.<\/p>\n
