Proposals submitted by High Point University faculty carry the University\u2019s commitment to fulfilling the project if awarded.\u00a0 This institutional commitment requires proposals are properly reviewed and approved to ensure they conform to High Point University policies and procedures.<\/p>\n

All proposals including new, renewal, and supplemental proposals and subsequent revised versions, must be internally routed through Cayuse Sponsored Projects (SP) for review.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

You can use your Cayuse SP login to prepare your proposals for internal routing and review here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you need a username and password, please call (336) 841-9313 or email RASP.<\/a><\/p>\n

All proposals are reviewed and approved by Department Chairs, Deans, and the Director of Research Administration and Sponsored Programs (RASP) for submission.\u00a0 The RASP Director is the University’s Authorized Organization Representative (AOR). All proposals must have the AOR’s approval to be binding upon HPU. Please ensure that a final proposals (with the exception of the research plan) are routed and approved by your Chair and Dean ten (10) business days before the sponsor\u2019s deadline date<\/strong> <\/em>to ensure proper review and submission.\u00a0 Each level of review will be responsible for determining:<\/span><\/p>\n

Department<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Does the proposed project fit with the department mission?<\/li>\n
  2. Is the faculty member able to complete this project at the level of defined effort given his or her other High Point University obligations?<\/li>\n
  3. Are there sufficient resources to carry out the proposal?\u00a0 This review includes resources currently available at High Point University and any equipment or materials and supplies purchased during the project.<\/li>\n
  4. Does this proposal need review by High Point University\u2019s compliance committees?<\/li>\n
  5. Is any proposed cost share acceptable and are these funds available during the proposed period of performance?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    College\/School<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n

    1. Does this proposed project fit with the College\/School\u2019s missions?<\/li>\n
    2. Are the cost sharing commitments made by the Department appropriate and acceptable?<\/li>\n
    3. Does the budget fully reflect the costs necessary to successfully perform on the project?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
