Accreditation, both institutional and specialized, signifies that an academic institution has the resources, programs, and services necessary to effectively carry out its mission. In addition to being a precondition for receiving financial aid funds from federal and state governments, regional accreditation is also a kind of “seal of approval” that reflects an academic institution’s fitness to educate students.<\/p>\n

Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges<\/strong><\/p>\n High Point University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s, and doctoral degrees. High Point University also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the High Point University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by High Point University.<\/p>\n Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently-accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards. Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be June, 2029. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.<\/p>\n CAATE<\/strong><\/p>\n The Master of Science in Athletic Training program at High Point University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education<\/a> (CAATE). Applying for accreditation does not guarantee that accreditation will be granted.<\/p>\n CIDA<\/strong><\/p>\n High Point University\u2019s Interior Design program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) and meets the education requirements for practicing designers applying to take the NCIDQ exam.<\/p>\n CODA<\/strong><\/p>\n The Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program is accredited and has been granted the accreditation status of \u201cinitial accreditation\u201d by the Commission of Dental Accreditation (CODA), a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
