8:00 AM <\/b>: <\/b>Breakfast & Oratorical Contest<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The MLK day Breakfast will be held in the Qubein Conference Center at High Point University. This event is sponsored by the Ministers Conference of High Point & Vicinity. Awards for the Oratorical Contest will be given at the 6:00pm service at Williams Memorial CME Church (details below).<\/p>\n

11:00 AM-12:30 PM<\/b>: <\/b>Worship Service<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Community members are invited to attend\u00a0HPU\u2019s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Worship Service<\/a>\u00a0on Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. in Hayworth Chapel. This event is free and open to the public. This year\u2019s keynote speaker is Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Hale, the founder and senior pastor of the Ray of Hope Christian Church in Decatur, Georgia.\u00a0Learn more about Rev. Dr. Cynthia Hale and previous guest speakers.<\/a><\/p>\n

6:00 PM-8:30 PM<\/b>:\u00a0Evening Worship Service and Oratorical Presentation at Williams Memorial CME Church<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The evening service will kick off with a pre-recorded video of students presenting their speeches for the oratorical competition followed by the awarding of scholarships.
