{"id":512,"date":"2016-04-06T15:58:51","date_gmt":"2016-04-06T15:58:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.highpoint.edu\/studentaccounts\/?page_id=512"},"modified":"2024-02-21T16:25:59","modified_gmt":"2024-02-21T16:25:59","slug":"529-and-prepaid-plans","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.highpoint.edu\/studentaccounts\/529-and-prepaid-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"529 and Prepaid Plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>How do I instruct my 529 plan administrator to pay High Point University? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each plan administrator manages their plan differently. \u00a0The simplest instructions are to have the plan pay High Point University directly, making the check payable to High Point University and mailing it to <strong>One University Parkway, High Point, NC, 27268<\/strong>, to the attention of <strong>Student Accounts<\/strong>. \u00a0The student name and ID number <em>must<\/em> be included with the payment, as well as an indication of which semester the payment covers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepaid Tuition Plans<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prepaid Tuition Plans (Florida Prepaid, Alabama Prepaid, Illinois, etc) may require specific billing invoices to be sent to their attention in order to release funds to High Point University for tuition expenses. \u00a0You will need to notify your prepaid program of the college choice the student has made.\u00a0 Most of these institutions will send HPU a roster of students participating in that particular program for us to manually invoice to receive those funds.\u00a0 However, it is always helpful for Student Accounts to receive information from the student that they are partially covered by one of these programs as well.
