Undergraduate Summer Research Opportunities at Other Institutions

There are many opportunities for students to explore their field through research outside the school semester. URCW is constantly searching for these opportunities and compiling them together in one comprehensive resource. These list are frequently updated and provide information regarding deadlines, contacts, and program descriptions.

REU

REU stands for Research Experience for Undergraduates. These usually are found at large research institutions. Many offer free room and board and a summer stipend. It’s an opportunity to connect with experts in the field and get research experience over the summer. They are competitive and tend to have early deadlines. Though these are mostly found in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics), there are some non-STEM options. This is by no means an extensive list, but it includes programs which have come to our attention.
