{"id":1093,"date":"2013-10-17T12:14:15","date_gmt":"2013-10-17T16:14:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.highpoint.edu\/urcw\/?page_id=1093"},"modified":"2026-08-27T15:51:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T19:51:12","slug":"hpu-grants","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.highpoint.edu\/urcw\/hpu-grants\/","title":{"rendered":"HPU Grants"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Applications for Grant Awards<\/h2>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center\"><em>The High Point University Undergraduate Research and Creative Works Program is committed to encouraging and supporting high-quality<br \/>\nundergraduate research and creative projects.<\/em><\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">The University has made funds available to support student and faculty mentor travel to present research or creative work,<br \/>\nparticipate in competitions or performances, and support work in progress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>General Tips for Grant Requests<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contact URCW early when planning travel, projects or student support.<\/li>\n<li>Be prepared to tell us specifically to whom\/where the money is reimbursed. Is it directly reimbursed back to an individual or to an office (SGA, department, Dean, or Honors\/Fellows. You will need this info to complete your budget request and reimbursement.<\/li>\n<li>Do not assume expenses are covered unless approved through an award letter;<br \/>\nUse your letter as a resource that specifically describes how funding is to be used, for whom, and what amount.<\/li>\n<li>Keep <em>itemized<\/em> receipts (no screenshots) that identify the date, source of the payment, and proof of payment.<\/li>\n<li>Submit reimbursement materials promptly.<\/li>\n<li>All student funded projects supported by URCW must be registered on the URCW website under &#8220;Register\u00a0 URCW Activity&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The\u00a0 available grant opportunities are listed below.
