High Point University Sigma Kappa Habitat buildHIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 13, 2012 – As final exams were about to begin, High Point University’s chapter of Kappa Sigma spent a day building homes for low income families in High Point with Habitat for Humanity.

The brothers wanted to give back to the community during the holiday season before returning home for break.

“We are all so fortunate to attend this incredible university,” says junior Matt Jakubowski. “We wanted to show the community that we care, and we wanted to do what we could to put everything else aside and make their holiday as enjoyable as possible.”

“Something about helping out the community during the holiday season warms your heart,” says sophomore Davis Whitmer. “I am so grateful to have been a part of this incredible experience. I will remember that feeling forever.”
