Academic Services provides tutorial support in a wide range of courses through undergraduate peer tutoring and Supplemental Instruction tutoring as well as Student Success Workshops each semester. Academic Services works closely with other programs in the Office of Academic Services department to support the academic and life skills needs of the students of High Point University. Academic Services is a Level III CRLA Certified Learning Program.
The Writing Center provides writing assistance for undergraduate students at any level of study – from freshman to senior – at any stage in the writing process, from invention through revision. The Writing Center staff will be available in a variety of locations around campus during various hours throughout the day, Monday through Friday.
Writing Center tutors do not proofread or edit students’ papers for them, but they do work with students to help them develop strategies for improving their writing in light of their respective assignments, instructors, and writing styles.
Look for the Writing Center name plate in all locations.
