Leonard Welcomed as Media Services Librarian

High Point University Samantha LeonardHIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 11, 2012 – High Point University recently hired Samantha Leonard as the media services librarian in Smith Library.

Leonard is responsible for managing the media services lab and assisting HPU students and faculty with media needs, such as film editing, production, design and photography computer software. Leonard also assists with any digital services, including scanning and media format conversion and media and technology instruction.

Leonard says she is excited to be part of a community that is full of positive energy and ideas for progress.

“As the media services librarian of HPU, I will support student and faculty media needs in any way that I can, and hopefully make the overall HPU educational experience that much more positive,” Leonard says.

Leonard attended New York University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in cinema studies. She received a master’s degree in library science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
