Posted on February 14, 2013.

Carnation Sale 2013HIGH POINT, N.C., Feb. 14, 2013 – Phi Mu Sorority at High Point University held a Carnation Sale today on campus to benefit their national philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. All proceeds from the sales will go directly to the hospitals.

Members of Phi Mu held the sale last year as well, where they sold more than 100 carnations.

“Our students in the Greek community hold numerous fundraisers throughout the year to benefit charities throughout the country,” says Teri Cugliari, director of Greek Life. “This was a great way for members of Phi Mu to celebrate Valentine’s Day on campus while giving back.”

Each year, HPU students volunteer more than 30,000 hours locally, nationally and internationally, with a large portion of those hours coming from the Greek community.
