School of Pharmacy Welcomes Lingle as Associate Dean

HIGH POINT, N.C., Oct. 7, 2014 – High Point University’s School of Pharmacy welcomes Dr. Earle “Buddy” Lingle as professor and associate dean for student and professional affairs.

Lingle will teach HPU pharmacy students about social and administrative sciences as well as coordinate the admissions process and student services activities for the school.

“I am excited to be at such a dynamic university and to be involved in helping build a pharmacy program that will provide a unique pharmacy education,” says Lingle. “We want to provide HPU students with a holistic education in the School of Pharmacy through not only the curriculum but also by giving them the opportunity to participate in professional organizations, network within the pharmacy profession, and serve others in the Triad community.”

Lingle received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After working with a health care consulting firm in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area, he returned to graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin earning his Ph.D. in pharmacy administration with a specialization in public affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs. Dr. Lingle has served as a consultant on various health care issues to South Carolina state legislators and legislative committees, agencies and governors as well as several pharmaceutical companies, including GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Lilly, MedImmune, Merck, Pfizer and Sandoz.
