The libraries of HPU primarily serve to promote the research and learning endeavors of students and faculty. However, a significant part of the mission of HPU Libraries is to encourage lifelong learning among all of our university constituent users.
HPU staff are warmly encouraged to use our libraries for:
• Professional development
• Leisure reading, listening and viewing
• Workshops
Library personnel are on duty in three main library facilities when classes are in session:
• Smith Library is the main library on campus, serving as a study area and as a repository of faculty and staff-selected resources. Items available for check-out from Smith include: DVD/Blu-rays, current fiction titles, audio books, board games, CDs, current periodicals, newspapers … and much more! Smith is open 24/7 during the regular semester, to meet the study needs of our students, faculty and staff.
• R.G. Wanek Center. Popular and young adult fiction titles can be checked out from the 3rd floor Learning Commons.
• School of Education Resource Center houses a collection of juvenile and education-related materials that are available for check out.

Visit HPU Libraries online or click here for a full listing of library opening hours.
HPU staff can also ask questions 24/7 of qualified librarians, using our chat service.
