Betty Bobbitt Lee Byrne served as Director of Bar Success and as an Adjunct Professor at Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University. She designed and implemented the law school’s bar success program, advised students in traditional and hybrid programs, and taught courses focused on substantive law, essay writing, multiple-choice strategy, and performance test preparation.
Professor Byrne is experienced in the areas of academic support, student advising, legal analysis, and program design. She has led workshops on study skills and writing structure. She has substantial training in extended bar review and NextGen bar exam preparation, maintains strong ties with national bar preparation organizations, and presented at AccessLex Institute’s LexCon ’25 on third-year curriculum design and scheduling strategies to support bar success.
Before entering legal education, Professor Byrne practiced law in Montgomery, Alabama, handling matters involving contracts, wills and estates, real estate transactions, collections, domestic and juvenile issues, and general civil litigation. She also served as a law clerk for the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and the Montgomery County Circuit Court.
She holds a J.D. from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law and a B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
