Office of Student Financial Planning

Reminder ~ Financial Planning has gone digital

To better serve our students starting with the 2018-2019 academic year, award letter notifications are available digitally. Our office will no longer mail out paper award letters for returning students. Students will receive an email with a link to view their digital award letter notification. You will receive a new message with a new link every time there is a revision to your financial aid award. This digital format enables you to receive your financial award letter information faster and you will be able to access it on all of your mobile devices.

The notifications are sent to your HPU email address and personal email address that we have in the system for you. It is extremely important that we have accurate contact information for you to ensure that you receive your notifications. Please take a moment to confirm that we have your current personal email address and cell phone number by going to, clicking “Sign In” in the upper right hand corner and viewing “Account Information” under “My Account”. Once you have updated your contact information, remember to click “Submit” at the bottom of the page. Updating your contact information will help ensure that you get notifications from our office in a timely manner.

Please contact our office if you have any questions about this process at 336-841-9124 or

Please Note: New incoming students will still receive their initial financial aid award letter via US postal mail. Any revisions to the award package will then be sent digitally.

The Office of Student Financial Planning works diligently to assist students in their pursuit of post-secondary education at High Point University.  We work not only to assist students, but also their parents and members of the University community.  We are anxious to get to know each student well and to understand their unique needs and challenges in funding their college education.  We will work with students each step of the way to maximize their resources, and help determine if other resources exist from which they might benefit.

Although the financial aid process can be complex, our staff is well trained and highly qualified to make your experience with Student Financial Planning a positive and rewarding one.

Our office processes financial assistance according to last name, except for athletes and health profession students which are processed by separate counselors, as outlined below.
