HIGH POINT, N.C., April 14, 2009 – The Communications Committee at High Point University has appointed Matthew Wells as station manager of HPU Radio.
Wells, a junior Communication major in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication, is a native of Archdale, N.C., and is a 2007 graduate of Trinity High School. As station manager at HPU Radio, he will supervise more than 40 student announcers and programmers.
“I’m honored to have been selected as station manager, and I?m excited about giving High Point its own voice on the Internet,” says Wells.
The Communications Committee is composed of students and faculty at High Point University and is charged with supervising all student media on campus. HPU Radio can be heard on the internet at 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is programmed and staffed entirely by students.
