HPU's Pi Kappa Alpha Holds 'Turkey Bowl' For Charity

HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 24, 2009 ? High Point University’s Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity recently held a flag football competition, called the “Turkey Bowl.” The event raised nearly $1,000 for Open Door Ministries.

The event had a total of eight flag football teams competing for a trophy. The winning team was “Finch is Finch.”

All participants received T-shirts and a turkey dinner afterward.

“We hope the event becomes annual,” says Dale Hanna, president of the fraternity. “Next year, our goal is to be above $1,000.”
