HPU Announces Creation of 100 New Jobs by August 2011

HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 1, 2010 — Thanks to continued growth at High Point University, the school plans to expand its workforce by at least 100 positions by the end of August 2011. This will bring HPU’s total workforce up to 997, up from 462 five years ago.

“A growing High Point University is good for our city and our region,” says Chris Dudley, vice president for Administration. “We are truly blessed to be in a position to create these job opportunities even during very difficult economic times.”

The additional positions will be added throughout the academic year and into the summer to accommodate the growth in enrollment at HPU.
