High Point University guard Shay Shine’s dunk against UNC Asheville on Saturday was featured as ESPN SportsCenter’s top play of the day and top play of the week. Shine is 6-foot-2 and dunked over Asheville’s 6-foot-10 D.J. Cunningham in the final seconds of the first half. HPU won the game, 76-73. Shine had season-bests of 19 points, seven steals and six assists in the game.

The video has gone viral online. It is mentioned in blogs all over the internet and different versions of the footage have been viewed over one million times on YouTube.
The High Point University men’s basketball team improved to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the Big South with the victory.
