HIGH POINT, N.C., March 10, 2011 ? Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority at High Point University recently volunteered at the 2011 Hope Gala in Winston-Salem. Held at the Benton Convention Center, 25 sisters in the sorority worked a live auction and tended to guests at the event. The event was a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
?It was an amazing event to be a part of ? especially seeing so many people who support the same cause as Alpha Gamma Delta,? says Lauren Ignozzi, philanthropy coordinator. ?The gala raised more than $1 million. Our sorority supports this great cause, and we hold events each year to help raise money for JDRF. It was a wonderful experience, and we hope to participate in the coming years.?
