HPU Student Investment Club Launches Competitive Website

HIGH POINT, N.C., March 22, 2011 ? The Floyd T. Craven Investment Club at High Point University recently developed and launched a new website in order to make the club more competitive and to enhance the clubs skills and achievements.

The website, which was created by HPU freshman Matthew Goff, will help the club manage its assets and provide members with access to high quality investment resources.

?This website is a major tool that enables the members of our club to interact with our portfolio daily, and have easy access to the top investment analysis resources,? says Goff.

The club was created in 1998 in honor of HPU alumnus Floyd. T. Craven. It allows HPU students to invest dollars, originally funded by an alumnus gift, in the stock market under the guidance of professors of finance in the university’s Phillips School of Business.

With the help of marketing strategies implemented on the website, the club will also be able to attract new members, making it more competitive with other investment clubs including those at Duke University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, The University of Michigan and others.

?I am very excited about the launch of our new website,? says Goff. ?We will now be able to compete with some of the most prestigious investment clubs in the country. Along with managing over $80,000 in assets, our members will now have access to the highest quality resources available.?
