HIGH POINT, N.C., June 29, 2011 – Jeff Karpovich, CPP, security chief and transportation director at High Point University, recently received an award recognizing the safety initiatives that have been put in place at High Point University during the past three years.
The North Carolina Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators selected Karpovich for their 2011 Commitment to Excellence Award. The award was presented to Karpovich by association president Jeff McCracken, chief of police and director of public safety at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill at a recent meeting at Davidson College.
“The number of safety and security initiatives Jeff has been able to put in place is astonishing, especially given the short amount of time in which those accomplishments occurred,” McCracken says. “High Point University is fortunate to have such a dedicated professional. He is truly deserving of the North Carolina Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (NCACLEA) Commitment to Excellence award.”
Last year, Karpovich received the Administrative Excellence Award from the International Association for Campus Law Enforcement Administrators.
“The past three years have been extraordinary,” Karpovich says. “High Point University is deeply committed to safety and security. The administration has supported my protection initiatives and my outstanding team has executed them with pride. I am blessed.”
