Student Is Hardwired For Success

HIGH POINT, N.C., July 18, 2011 – Naomi Ehrens, a rising sophomore at High Point University, is gaining practical business experience by spending her summer interning for Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC) in Needham, Mass.

Ehrens, a business administration major, is assisting PTC customers with understanding and utilizing PTC’s software. Ehrens’ responsibilities include establishing accounts for clients, such as John Deere, Motorola, Raytheon and Sony, which use PTC’s software. In the past month Ehrens has created 500 customer accounts for a corporate event held in Las Vegas that brought in more than 2,000 customers and PTC employees from across the globe.

Ehrens also views and edits tutorials that are designed to assist the customers using and operating PTC’s software. She performs testing of the LearningExchange site, where the tutorials are shown, to assure that everything is fully accessible to the customers.

“I am primarily looking to gain as much exposure into a real-world global company as possible,” Ehrens says. “In addition, I know this experience will prepare me for a full-time-career after graduation.”

Ehrens says her classes at HPU have challenged and enabled her to think outside the box and her professors have taught her a great deal about the communication and hard work it takes to perform at a high level.
