HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 15, 2011 – Melissa Glass was recently hired by the Mathematics Department at High Point University as instructor of mathematics.
“My goal is to help students think more mathematically which will result in deeper thinking overall,” says Glass, who will teach entry level math courses.
Glass says her area of expertise is analysis, particularly fractals. She is a member of Pi Mu Epsilon, a mathematical honors society.
Glass, originally from Marshall, Ill., earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Berry College and a Master of Arts in mathematics from Wake Forest University.
