HIGH POINT, N.C., Feb. 10, 2012 – The Department of Political Science at High Point University recently hired Ellen Gutman as instructor of political science.
In her new position, Gutman will be responsible for instructing three sections of American politics. She says her area of expertise is public opinion and political behavior.
In her short time at HPU, Gutman has been impressed with the incredible hospitality.
“I am thrilled to be a part of this university,” says Gutman. “The people here have been so accommodating and helpful.”
Gutman has hopes of impacting students while at HPU by sparking an interest in politics and the United States government.
Gutman received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently working to complete her doctorate.
