HIGH POINT, N.C., Feb. 24, 2012 – Kristen Bolton, a senior studying human relations and business at High Point University, is busy planning ahead for her future career and gaining valuable real-world experience with her internship at Bella Wedding and Event Planning in Greensboro.
Bolton, who is from Southampton, N.Y., is responsible for working with brides-to-be in planning their dream weddings, maintaining connections with bridal vendors, managing the company’s social media, developing marketing plans and attending bridal shows.
“My studies at HPU have greatly impacted my internship, because I have gained knowledge in many of my classes that are helpful in my daily work,” says Bolton. “My internship will help me achieve my professional goals because I am gaining experience in working with brides and event planning, which is what I hope to do when I graduate.”
Bolton says that her favorite part of working at Bella Wedding and Event Planning is being able to express her creative personality, which can be seen in her inspirational blog posts with unique wedding ideas.
