HPU Welcomes Chunn as Resident Director in Office of Student Life

HIGH POINT, N.C., March 23, 2012 – The Office of Student Life at High Point University recently hired Theodis Chunn as resident director.

In his new position, Chunn will be responsible for managing resident assistants and developing educational and social programs that ensure every student has a positive experience at HPU.

“I am so excited about being a part of HPU. My mission to the university and students is to provide committed service to each student; pushing students to be successful through their educational goals, developing extraordinary leaders in such an extraordinary way,” says Chunn.

Before joining HPU, Chunn worked at Winston-Salem State University in the Office of Housing and Residence Life, and also for a nonprofit organization called Rowan Vocational Opportunities as director of marketing and communications.

Chunn, a native of Salisbury, received a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree.
