HIGH POINT, N.C., April 4, 2012 – High Point University will entertain the community with the Department of Music’s annual Spring Choral Concert, to be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 23 and April 24 in the Pauline Theatre of the Hayworth Fine Arts Center. The event is open to the public.
The concert will feature the University Singers, Chapel Choir, Chamber Singers, and faculty soloists accompanied by a full orchestra performing Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burama.” The performance will be directed by Dr. Marc Foster, chair of the Department of Music and director of choral activities at HPU.
“We are excited to welcome the community as we celebrate not only spring, but also the great things that are happening in our department,” Foster says. “We look forward to sharing our moving performance.”
