Rising Senior Tackles Baltimore Ravens Internship

HIGH POINT, N.C., June 21, 2012 – Megan Urian, a rising senior at High Point University, has scored a touchdown by landing an internship with the Baltimore Ravens, in Baltimore, Md., where she’ll have the opportunity to learn what goes on behind the scenes in NFL offices.

Urian is interning in ticket operations and is responsible for ticket sells, assisting customers with account information and interacting with fans while the team prepares for the 2012 season.

“My internship with the Ravens is helping me understand what truly goes on in the world of sports,” says Urian. “I am learning a lot about the different aspects of ticket operations, such as finances, customer service and sales inside the business.”

Urian, a double major in business administration and sport management, says her classes at HPU have helped give her good background knowledge for her internship experience – especially when it comes to promoting upcoming games.

“Through this internship I have learned that if you are truly passionate about something, it doesn’t seem like work,” she says. “I have also learned that if you have wonderful people to work with, that they will make everything much more enjoyable and fun.”

Urian will continue her professional experience in the fall in the Disney College Program, a national internship company operated by the Walt Disney Company.
