HIGH POINT, N.C., July 17, 2012 – Stephanie Schwartz, a rising junior at HPU, is getting a look behind-the-scenes of professional marketing and public relations as a communications intern at Kaye Communications, Inc. in Boca Raton, Fla.
Schwartz, who is majoring in communication with a concentration in strategic communication, is responsible for searching for articles regarding clients, editing and publishing press releases, assembling media kits and updating media contact lists.
She says the internship is giving her valuable insight into the field of public relations and event planning, and she plans to build her career in those areas.
“While working at Kaye Communications, I have been able to effectively budget my time while paying close attention to detail based on what I learned at HPU,” says Schwartz. “I was so well prepared that it was easy to jump into all the tasks that have been given to me.”
