Security and Transportation Director Elected Vice Chairman of ASIS International Piedmont Chapter

HIGH POINT, N.C., July 19, 2012 – Jeff Karpovich, CPP, security chief and transportation director at High Point University, was recently elected vice chairman of the 100-member Piedmont Chapter of the American Society for the Industrial Security International.

ASIS International is the largest organization of security professionals worldwide, which has more than 38,000 members in more than 200 chapters.

“Jeff Karpovich holds one of the coveted certifications of ASIS as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP),” says Pat King, Region 14 vice president of ASIS International. “He was elected by the North Carolina Piedmont Chapter membership to serve as vice chairman. As a volunteer leader – which all of us are – he brings not only a diverse security background to the position, but also extensive management experience that will help the chapter continue to grow and be a vital source of education and information for a network of security professionals throughout the Triad and beyond.”
