HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 28, 2012 – High Point University will host the Faculty Dance Show, to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 7 and Sept. 8 in the Pauline Theatre of the Hayworth Fine Arts Center. The event is open to the public; no tickets are required.
Performed by 87 Dance Productions, which is making its second appearance on the HPU campus, the group will introduce a collection of brand new dance work, featuring the talents of twins Cara and Mackenzie Hagan, which includes contemporary dance, aerial dance, and film and devised dance theatre. The program will also include guest choreographer Belinda McGuire, company member of the Jose Limon Dance Company in New York.
“As an instructor in the department of theatre, it is an honor to share my broader artistic interests with my students and the rest of the HPU community,” says Cara Hagan, instructor of dance at HPU. “I am excited to introduce all of the talented artists with whom I’ve been working this summer.”
