HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 10, 2012 – Timothy Linker recently joined the Office of Institutional Effectiveness at High Point University as the director of research administration and sponsored programs.
In his new position, Linker will be responsible for establishing and growing the HPU Office of Research Administration and Sponsored Programs. This includes identifying and proposing new research opportunities, negotiating and managing research projects on behalf of HPU, and ensuring that HPU is in compliance with federal and state rules and regulations.
Linker says he is excited to be a part of a growing university and eager to grow the HPU research portfolio, as his area of expertise is research administration.
He has previous experience in political research as an international election observer in Macedonia, and also as a senior legislative assistant to former congressman Cass Ballenger.
Linker received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a master’s degree in international studies, as well as a master’s degree in communication, both from North Carolina State University.
